Our Story

A Romanian foundation
for sports

ProAm Events is a Romanian foundation created in February 2010 to initiate and support projects that increase the standard of life of the general public, especially initiatives linked to promoting a healthy life-style through movement, sport and balanced nutrition.

Our portfolio includes impactful projects such as Tenis10 — a youth development program pioneering tennis education for children, L'Etape Romania by Tour de France — the world's largest amateur cycling event series bringing the Tour de France experience to Romania, and Sportya — Eastern Europe's leading platform connecting amateur tennis players and organizing competitions.

We believe that sports have the power to transform lives, build character, and bring communities together. This belief drives everything we do.

Our History

The Journey

2010

Foundation Created

ProAm Events Foundation established in February 2010 to promote healthy lifestyles through sport.

2011

Tenis10 Launch

Pioneered the ITF Tennis 10s learning method in Romania with over 90 competitions organized nationwide.

2013

Riders Club Launch

Consultancy and support for the launch of cycling competitions in Romania, promoting amateur sport through mass events.

2015

DHL Carpathian Marathon

Launched Romania's leading mountain running event, supporting Paralympic athlete preparation.

2015

SPRINTEN Project

Initiated our social responsibility project supporting communities across Romania.

2017

Carpathian MTB Epic

Introduced Romania's premier MTB stage race, now one of the leading races in the world.

2021

Sportya Re(launch)

Involved in the relaunch of the largest platform for tennis amateur sports in Eastern Europe.

2022

L'Etape Romania by Tour de France

The largest cycling event for amateur participants in the world, implemented in Romania in collaboration with A.S.O., the organizer of Tour de France. The Foundation was involved with the launch of "The joy of cycling, TOGETHER!" campaign dedicated to the social integration of cyclists with disabilities in the event.
